Sustainability Efforts Recognized by the State of Wisconsin

We meet and exceed compliance with federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations by working closely with applicable regulatory agencies—but our commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. In recognition of our long tradition of commitment to the environment and our commitment to continuing to expand our environmental and sustainability efforts, Standard Process was accepted into the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Green Tier Program for superior environmental performance on Aug. 21, 2014.

As part of this program, Standard Process is committed to continuing organic farming practices; implementing a formal Environmental Management System (EMS); expanding beneficial reuse, waste reduction and recycling efforts; and identifying and implementing opportunities for additional energy conservation/reduction measures.

This program recognizes companies that distinguish themselves as environmental innovators and demonstrate a strong commitment to the environment and sustainability beyond simply maintaining a good environmental compliance record.

Recognized for Our Commitment

By accepting Standard Process into the Green Tier program, the state of Wisconsin is recognizing the sustainability efforts we’ve already taken and our overall commitment to continuing to expand our sustainability program.

As part of our expanding commitment to sustainability and the environment under the Green Tier program, we have implemented a formal environmental management system (EMS) that is functionally equivalent to the ISO 14001 program requirements as determined by the Wisconsin DNR. This helps formalize our approach to identifying and expanding sustainability and compliance efforts, and further demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.
