Clinical Research

Our clinical trials look at how Standard Process products work in humans. Despite more than 80 years of significant anecdotal evidence, the clinical research team believes that clinical trials can help enhance and support the many ways our products help patients. We conduct trials with academic and medical institutions or contract research organizations to establish the safety and efficacy of Standard Process supplements in healthy, human subjects. We collaborate with a wide spectrum of practitioners—chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, academics, and medical doctors, as well as other health care professionals.

These collaborators work with us on randomized, placebo-controlled, and open-label studies, as well as provide feedback and collaboration on case studies, giving us important insight on how our products function in real life. Health care professionals who want to pursue clinical research with Standard Process should contact the research and development department.

Standard Process 21-Day Purification Program Studies

Standard Process purification program is supported by 2 studies that delve into how this protocol supports health. Our 2008 study examines how purification improved lipid profiles and supported a healthy weight. Expanding on those results, the 2012 Logan study supports the finding of improved lipid profiles in patients who have completed the purification program and provides more information on how the purification program can impact blood pressure and C-reactive protein as well.

Epimune Complex: Effective and Comprehensive Support for Immune Function

This was a 30-day, open-label pilot study of 25 healthy men and women between 18 and 65 years of age who took Epimune Complex twice a day.

More research on these findings is needed, but this pilot study provides valuable insight into how Epimune Complex works with the human body’s natural immune response.
