Event Description:
This course will review the rationale for, and benefits of, incorporating nutrients from mushrooms as well as oats and colostrum into an overall veterinary healthcare management plan.
Participants will:
• learn about the history of use, anatomy and life cycle of mushrooms.
• get information about specific mushrooms, including turkey tail, reishi, and lion’s mane.
• gain an understanding of the nutrients in mushrooms, oats and colostrum and their support of normal body processes and a healthy immune system response.
• learn about the rationale and research reinforcing the potential benefits of mushrooms, oats, and colostrum.
• understand better how to incorporate nutritional components into a traditional healthcare plan, as an adjunctive and integrative modality in the veterinary “toolbox” of management options.
